Leadership development

We are delivering four new and exciting SSAT Leadership programmes in September for teachers at all stages of their careers. There is a programme for everyone; for staff looking to take their first steps into leadership to those developing as senior leaders. 

The programmes include a series of keynote speakers to enhance the programmes. Speakers include: Dan Belcher; Peps Mccrea and Lekha Sharma.

Keynote Speakers

Dan Belcher ‘Vision, Values and Culture’

Dan leads on SSAT’s leadership programmes and has a wealth of experience in designing and delivering professional development for all career stages. Before joining SSAT in 2009 he was a senior leader and teacher of French and German. Dan enjoys working with individuals and teams to realise their goals and grow leadership capacity.

Peps Mccrea ‘Evidence informed Teaching’

Peps Mccrea is an award-winning teacher educator, designer and author. He is Director of Education at Steplab and author if the ultra concise High Impact Teaching series. Peps has three Masters degrees, Fellowships from the Young Academy and University of Brighton, and lots of distracting tattoos. Visit pepsmccrea.com for more.

Lekha Sharma ‘Leading a Team’ 

Lekha Sharma is a School Improvement Lead for the Avanti Schools Trust, leading on curriculum and assessment and has over ten years of experience teaching and leading in schools in a range of contexts. She is a postgraduate student at the University of Oxford studying Learning and Teaching and is also the author of Curriculum to Classroom (John Catt 2020). Lekha is passionate about making educational research accessible and digestible, allowing leaders and teachers to focus on applying the ‘best bits’ on the ground within their unique contexts
